THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S
OFFICE
My staff and I are
honored to represent the people of Fort Bend County
in all of our duties and responsibilities. In my
twenty eight years as a prosecutor, I have been a
part of many positive changes in the law enforcement
community as we work to meet the needs of our
growing county. Within my office, specialized
divisions have been developed which allow
prosecutors proficiency to address crimes which
threaten the peacefulness of our community. They
include child abuse, narcotics, domestic violence,
and juvenile crime units. Fort Bend County crime
victims are supported by a compassionate District
Attorney's office crime victims assistance division.
Rest assured that we will strive to live up to our
responsibility to see that Justice is done. Simply
put, we will always try and identify, and to do, the
right thing.
If you would like to speak with me or to visit the
District Attorney's office, know that I have always
had an open door policy. Everyone is welcome to call
or stop by.
Mission Statement
The Fort Bend County District Attorney's office
represents the people of the State of Texas in all
felony and misdemeanor criminal cases in the
district courts, county courts at law, and justice
courts. It is the primary duty of the district
attorney and his assistants, not to convict, but to
see that justice is done. Additionally, the district
attorney represents the State in asset forfeiture
cases, bond forfeitures cases, juvenile matters,
protective orders, as well as aiding crime victims
through its victim assistance coordinator.
