CHILDREN’S CHAMPIONS
FOUND IN CHILD ABUSE DIVISION
The continued
strengthening of the Child Abuse Division has been
one of my goals over the last decade. This important
division which handles child abuse and sexual
assault cases has as its chief the former Chief of
the Dallas County Child Abuse Case Review Division.
Under this chief’s guidance, many more child sexual
abuse cases are being won than ever before. Tripling
the size and increasing the experience level of this
prosecution team, while invigorating it with
state-of-the-art technology to record child victims’
statements, has made this division a formidable foe
of child abuse.
The most successful of the cases tried during the
last four years include the following:
Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child cases
against defendants Kevin James Bramwell, Willlie
Alvin Griffin, Jr., and Timothy James Anglin
Outcome of case: Each defendant received a
life sentence.
